Children’s Dentistry in Dubbo
Early dental visits are essential to set your child on the path to a lifetime of healthy smiles. At our family-focused practice, we care for children of all ages, starting from infancy for issues like tongue or lip ties. As they grow into adulthood, we also provide in-house wisdom tooth extractions, thanks to our on-site oral surgeon.
At Smile on Dubbo & Narromine, we’re dedicated to providing everything your child—and family—needs to maintain bright, healthy smiles for years to come.
NEW PATIENTS
Your Child’s First Visit
We encourage parents to bring their child for their first dental checkup as early as possible, ideally by age 2. Early visits allow us to identify and address concerns such as tongue ties, cavities, or developmental issues that are easier to manage at a young age.
During the initial visit, your child can sit on your lap while we perform a gentle exam and introduce them to the office environment. As they become more comfortable, we’ll ease them into the cleaning process. These positive early experiences help prevent dental anxiety as they grow older.
Paediatric Dental Treatments Offered
Our dentists provide a full range of children’s dental care, including cleanings, sealants, fillings, and extractions.
If your child is experiencing a toothache, we use a gentle ‘show-tell-do’ approach to guide them through each step of their care. This method helps reduce fear and builds familiarity with the dental environment.
From routine treatments to more advanced care, we ensure open communication with both children and parents, offering advice on oral hygiene and preventive measures. By starting early, we can help your child minimise their risk of dental problems and establish a positive view of dental care for the future.
CDBS Accepted
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule provides up to $1,132 in dental services every two years, including treatments like fissure sealants and fillings. Contact our team to find out if your family is eligible.
