Your First Visit
Visiting a new dentist for the first time can often cause some anxiety. At Smile on Dubbo & Narromine, we completely understand how you feel, and our team is dedicated to ensuring you feel comfortable and at ease throughout your experience.
When You Arrive For Your First Appointment
During your first visit, we’ll ask you to complete a few forms as part of our new patient paperwork. If possible, please bring along a copy of any previous dental records.
In most cases, you’ll be seen promptly. However, as we also operate as an oral surgery practice, there may be occasional delays if our dentists are attending to surgical procedures. Should this occur, we’ll make sure to let you know as soon as you arrive.
Your Initial Checkup with Us
Please allow about an hour for your first check-up. During this appointment, we’ll review any concerns or questions you have, take any necessary x-rays, and perform a comprehensive scale and clean. Many of our patients have complimented us, calling our dentists the “gentlest” they’ve ever experienced!
We use advanced diagnostic tools, such as high-quality digital X-rays and cameras, to identify any early signs of tooth decay. If any dental treatments are required, we will explain the results of your check-up and discuss the best options for your oral care.
Paying for Treatment
Our in-house HICAPS machine allows us to file your insurance on the spot, leaving you only responsible for the gap, if applicable.
